ADO/RDS Issues

This was the only RDS related Security patch that I remember.

That's very strange that after 3-5 minutes the problem goes away. Does all
Connectivity to the server fail during this time period?
What if you leave a connection open from Query Analyser to the server?
Does the connection drop?

Yes, but only on an individual web server. The setup is like this: There
are two web servers and one SQL Server. The web servers requests data
from the SQL server via our content management system that uses ADO/RDS;
this is the point of failure and the problem happens on each web server
at different times. Meaning, the problem will be occuring with one web
server, but not the other. As stated before the problem eventually
clears itself up, usually after 3-5 minutes. The problem can sometimes
persist even after rebooting the web server in question.

I have not tried this. The machines are on a client site so I do not
have easy access. I will however have the webmaster at the client site
try this when the problem occurs.
