ADO & MS SQL 6.5

Hi all,
How well does ADO work with MS SQL 6.5 ... When trying my
application, it comes back with a "connection failure" quite often
upon trying to run system defined stored procedures and so on.
Can anyone comment on that?

Also on Windows XP?
I've installed MS SQL 6.5 on a Windows XP machine
and when running my app, I keep on getting
Connection Lost.
Would ODBC be better?
